User Device Setup

What is User Device Setup?

User device setup covers the configuration, imaging, and preparation of computers and mobile devices for new employees or replacements. We handle everything from installing software to applying security configurations so new devices are ready to use on day one.

Why it matters

Improperly configured devices create security gaps from the start and lead to support headaches down the road. A standardized, managed setup process ensures every device starts in a known, secure state.

How we implement it

We maintain standard device configurations for each role type in your organization. When a new device arrives, we image it with the appropriate configuration, install required applications, apply security settings, and ship it ready to use - or provision it remotely.

What your organization gets

Day-One Productivity

New employees have a fully configured, ready-to-use device from their first day.

Consistent Configuration

Every device starts from the same secure baseline.

Reduced Support Burden

Properly configured devices generate far fewer support requests.

Faster Deployment

Standardized processes mean new devices are ready quickly regardless of volume.

Common questions

How long does a new computer take to get ready?

Setup is standardized and largely automated, so the device arrives already claimed by your organization. The first sign-in is when it finishes building itself: email, applications, security tools, and company settings install in the background, which takes a little time before everything has landed. After that first session it is ready, and your employee is not the one doing any of the work.

Do you set up the security stuff too?

Security is the core of setup. Encryption, threat protection, screen locks, and backup enrollment are applied before the device ever touches your data, so day one is as protected as day one hundred.

Can employees pick their own laptops?

We publish a recommended lineup that fits your environment and budget, with room for preference within it, and it spans Windows, Mac, and Linux. That keeps choice for your team and consistency for support and security.

What if the new hire is not in our office?

It ships straight to them, already enrolled, so it does not have to detour through your office first. They sign in on day one and the build completes itself around them while we stay reachable in case anything needs a hand. Remote starters get the same setup as everyone else.
