What is SaaS Backup?

SaaS backup creates independent copies of your data in cloud applications like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other platforms. Even though these services are cloud-based, they don't fully protect you from data loss due to accidental deletion, ransomware, or account compromise.

Why it matters

Most cloud application providers operate under a shared responsibility model - they keep the platform running, but protecting your data from loss or corruption is your responsibility. Many businesses assume their cloud data is fully backed up when it isn't.

How we implement it

We configure automated backups of your SaaS application data to a separate, independent storage environment. Backups run continuously and can be restored at the file, account, or full-tenant level depending on the scenario.

What your organization gets

True Data Protection

Your cloud data is backed up independently of the provider's own systems.

Ransomware Recovery

Recover from ransomware or corruption that affects your cloud applications.

Accidental Deletion Recovery

Restore deleted emails, files, or records quickly and completely.

Compliance

Satisfy data retention and recovery requirements that cloud providers alone can't meet.

Common questions

Doesn't Microsoft or Google already back up our email and files?

Both keep the service running; protecting your data from deletion, ransomware, or a malicious insider is explicitly your responsibility on either platform. Native recycle bins have short windows. Dedicated backup closes that gap.

What exactly gets backed up?

Mail, calendars, and files on both platforms: Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams on Microsoft 365; Gmail, Drive, and shared drives on Google Workspace. Captured on a schedule and restorable to a point in time, whether you need one message or an entire mailbox.

When would we actually need this?

An employee deletes a mailbox on the way out, ransomware syncs into your cloud files, or you discover in month seven that something purged in month one mattered. Each is common; each is recoverable with backup.

How far back can you restore?

Far enough to cover the case that matters most, which is damage nobody noticed for weeks. Retention is agreed with you up front instead of defaulting to whatever the vendor happens to keep.
