Regulatory Audits

Supports a HIPAA Security Rule safeguard

What is Regulatory Audits?

Regulatory audits are formal reviews of your business's technology practices to assess compliance with specific regulations or industry standards - such as HIPAA for healthcare, PCI-DSS for businesses handling payment cards, or other applicable frameworks.

Why it matters

Non-compliance with regulations can result in significant fines, legal liability, and reputational damage. Understanding where your business stands - and addressing gaps before an auditor does - is far less costly than discovering problems after the fact.

How we implement it

We run a structured internal review of your environment against the relevant requirements, identify gaps, and work through a prioritized remediation plan so nothing is outstanding when it counts. For the formal audit itself we engage an independent auditor, because a compliance opinion is only worth what its independence is worth, and we cannot credibly audit systems we administer. We prepare the evidence, coordinate the engagement, and stand with you through it.

Common questions

What audits can Bearium support?

Frameworks like HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. We handle the readiness work: internal gap review, evidence, remediation, and standing with you through auditor questions. The formal audit is performed by an independent auditor we engage on your behalf, since an opinion on our own work would carry no weight with a regulator or an insurer.

Why is this an add-on rather than included?

The Standard maintains audit-ready posture year-round: documentation, controls, and evidence. A formal audit engagement is a discrete project with defined scope, so it is quoted transparently as one.

How should we prepare before an audit is even scheduled?

By living audit-ready, which the Standard already handles: current documentation, verified controls, and clean evidence trails. When an audit arrives, preparation becomes review instead of scramble.

Do you deal with the auditor directly?

We can. We prepare the evidence, answer the technical questions, and sit in the sessions with you, so the auditor is talking to someone who knows the environment first-hand.

Available as an add-on

This one sits outside the per-user price. It is scoped and quoted before any work starts, so it reaches a bill only once you have agreed to it.
