Elevation Control
☂ Helps satisfy common cyber insurance requirements

What is Elevation Control?
Elevation control manages when and how employees are permitted to run software or make system changes that require administrator privileges. Rather than giving employees full administrative rights, we create a controlled, audited process for elevated actions.
Why it matters
Giving employees administrator access is one of the most common ways malware gains a foothold on business systems. Controlled elevation means that risky actions require approval, and all elevated activity is logged.
How we implement it
We deploy elevation management tools that intercept requests for elevated privileges, allow approved actions to proceed with an audit trail, and block or escalate unapproved requests. We work with you to define what requires elevation and what should be allowed automatically.
What your organization gets
Reduced Attack Surface
Malware can't easily install or execute with full system rights.
Employee Productivity
Legitimate elevated tasks are approved quickly without calling IT.
Full Audit Trail
Every elevated action is logged so you know exactly what changed and when.
Policy Enforcement
Software installation and system changes follow your policy, not individual employee preference.
Common questions
What is elevation control?
Managed handling of administrator rights. Everyday accounts run without admin power, and when a task genuinely needs it, elevation is granted for that task, temporarily and with a record.
Why shouldn't people just have admin rights on their own computers?
Because malware inherits the power of whoever clicked it. A standard account limits the blast radius enormously, and most attacks depend on the admin rights people rarely actually need. There is a second reason: cyber insurers now ask about privileged access directly, and handing every user permanent admin rights can put a claim, or the policy itself, at risk.
Does removing admin rights frustrate employees?
Not with elevation control in place. Approved tasks elevate smoothly in seconds, so the safety of standard accounts stops costing the convenience people worry about losing.
How long does someone wait for an approval?
Routine requests are pre-approved and go through immediately. Anything else comes to us, and we target a response in under five minutes. The exception is a request that needs sign-off from your own leadership, which moves at whatever pace that decision takes. The pause only happens when something is out of the ordinary, and that is the point.
